McLean County Extension Agent, Sarah Bedgar, and her daughter, Charlotte Wilson, and a special guest from Topeka, Kansas, Daniel Biggs, helped with the fitting and showmanship demonstrations at 4-H Livestock Camp this past week! Molly Wilson also helped judge the Round Robin showmanship competition! A full circle week for these young ladies that were campers for many years! ❤️🍀 Delilah the goat’s owner even finished her pedicure! New animal care skill unlocked!

It was a hot one at 4-H Livestock Camp this past week but these cool kids 😎 from McLean County had a great time learning alongside their animals!
Way to go K., A., O. and E! Special THANKS to one AMAZING Emotional Support Grandma to a first-time camper! She even helped with chores! 💖 Memories and friendships were made that will last a lifetime!

🤔 Emerald Ash Borer continues to spread. Does your city have a tree replacement plan? Time to consider diversifying your trees!

To help protect against EAB and all pests, it's important to diversify tree plantings. Green ash is the most plentiful tree in the state, but as they die or are removed, they should be replaced by a different species rather than another single species.

Ag community: if you are observing drought conditions, or any other extreme weather, consider submitting a report. The old adage “The squeaky wheel gets the grease” is true in this case! We need reports for our county to get support.
