Received a Change of Address Notice? Here's what it means:

Bayfield County is continuing important work on its Next Generation 911 (NG911) system to improve how emergency responders locate and reach people in need.

As part of this effort, some addresses are being updated—even if they’ve been used the same way for many years. These changes help ensure that when you call 911, your location is accurate and responders can find you as quickly as possible.

If your address is being changed, you will receive a notification letter in the mail, prior to the change being made.

We understand that updating your address can be inconvenient, but making these changes promptly helps protect you, your family, and your neighbors when every second counts.

Huge thanks to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for awarding Bayfield County grant funding to support the environmental reassessment of an old gas station in Village of Mason! Once cleared of it's brownfield status, the property will be auctioned for future residential housing.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the award of a Brownfield Grant to Bayfield County to assist with the investigation of environmental contamination at the site of a former gas station and grocery store.
