A HUGE thank you to Toni Ganje with the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery for hosting today's presentation! We learned about painted turtles and had so much fun watching them race on skateboards! We also studied shovelnose lake sturgeon and got to touch and hold them.

A HUGE thank you to Amanda Hendrix with the Badlands Dinosaur Museum for hosting today's presentation! This year they brought us a skull from T-Rex's ancestor (Daspletosaurus wilsoni) to look at and touch. We made adorable dinosaur I-Spy bottles as a craft.

6/1/26 Summer Reading Program
A HUGE thank you to Darian Kath with Knife River Indian Villages and his Conservation Corps team for kicking off our Summer Reading Program events for the summer! We learned about staple crops in Native American agriculture, the tools they used, how food was prepared, and how they stored their harvest over the winter. Everyone got to plant and take a yellow Arikara or red Hidatsa bean home with them.

5/15/26 3rd Grade STEAM Kit Field Trip
When we hosted the 3rd Grade STEAM Kit field trip to the library, they had SO much fun trying out GIANT Sorry and Candyland board games, checking out the microscopes and a microfossil dig, working with snap circuits, trying out the marble maze, working on a puzzle, playing with K'nex, building on the Lego table, learning about composting worms, and holding the chicks we raised in an incubator!

When we hosted the 4th Grade STEAM Kit field trip to the library, they got to make 3D pen keychains, try out a GIANT Sorry board game, play Animal Trivia and Spot the Difference board games, check out the microscopes and a microfossil dig, try out the green energy snap circuits, try out the marble maze, work on a puzzle, use the Lego table, learn about composting worms, and hold the chicks we raised in an incubator!
