On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Washburn voters will consider an operational referendum to help address rising costs and limited state funding.

Passing the referendum would help the School District of Washburn:
• Maintain high-quality academic programs & extracurricular opportunities
• Attract and retain excellent staff
• Support student success
• Strengthen the District’s financial position

The proposed referendum would provide $900,000 in 2026–27, increasing to $1.5 million in 2029–30 for operational and maintenance expenses.

Want to learn more? Community information sessions are scheduled throughout September and October. Our first session will be held on September 21st at 6:00pm.

WHAT A NIGHT FOR WASHBURN MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY!

Both our boys AND girls teams took 1st place last night! ❤️🖤

And the individual results were just as impressive:
🔥 7 of the top 10 girls were Washburn runners
🔥 5 of the top 10 boys were Washburn runners
🔥 Washburn swept the individual titles with Riley Sopiwnik taking 1st in the boys race and Alba Sopiwnik taking 1st in the girls race!

And how about those new racing jerseys?! Last night was their first time hitting the course, and our runners looked pretty sharp! A huge THANK YOU to the Shawn Berseth Memorial Fund for helping make the new jerseys possible. We are so grateful for your support of Washburn Cross Country!

Several Washburn Elementary and Middle School students had the incredible opportunity to attend a phenomenal concert at Big Top Chautauqua!

A First Grade Garden Adventure!

Our first graders had a wonderful time visiting the garden! They enjoyed fresh apples, pears, and grapes while listening to a story and soaking up all the sights and sounds of the garden.

And the best part? All of the pictures were taken by students using their class cameras. How fun to see the day through their eyes!

✨ Before Picture Day: Watch your inbox for important information from the school and Cahill Studios. Reminders and your online gallery link will come from [email protected]. Cahill Studios also has tips for getting ready and 100+ free background options!

📸 On Picture Day: Students will be photographed in multiple poses, so dress from head to toe! Some poses may be cropped below the waist.

🖼️ Ordering: Galleries will be available online 2–5 days after Picture Day. Orders placed within 7 days of receiving your gallery link qualify for free shipping to the school and a FREE low-resolution digital download with any Package or BYOP bundle.

🔄 Need Retakes? Cahill Studios has a no-questions-asked retake policy—no purchase is necessary. Complete the retake form at least 3 days before Retake Day to help ensure your student is on the list. New galleries will be available 2–5 days after retakes.
