Since its enactment in 2021, the ACT for ALS Act has driven meaningful progress—supporting research, advancing biomarkers, expanding shared data, and increasing access to promising treatments for those who often can’t participate in clinical trials.
But that progress is at risk. The current authorization expires this September, and while both the House and Senate are advancing reauthorization, the work isn’t finished yet.
ALS Rhode Island is urging Congress to act quickly to ensure these critical programs continue without interruption.
