PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MORGAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT‼️
All Solid Waste facilities will be closed on Friday April 3rd 2026 in observance of Good Friday. This includes the Landfill, Recycling center, and convenience centers. All centers will return to normal operational hours the next day, Saturday April 4th 2026.

For Monday, February 2, 2026 its been determined that due to increasing weather concerns and the conditions of the centers, all county waste locations (Landfill, Recycling, and convenience centers) will remain closed for the entirety of Monday. We anticipate opening on Tuesday if the weather improves, and we will continue to keep you updated here with all county solid waste hours. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MORGAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT‼️

Monday, 1-26-2026, Due to power failures, heavy rains, and the forecast of freezing and below temperatures in the Morgan County area, we have decided to close all Solid Waste facilities in the region. We will be reopening as soon as possible and will keep you updated with our hours of operation for this coming Tuesday as soon as they have been decided.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MORGAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT‼️

Saturday 1-24-26 using the most recent weather information available to us at this time weve made the decision to close all solid waste facilities early this weekend. We will be opening all Convience Centers across the county at our normal time of (9:00am) tomorrow and will remain open to (11:30am). This allows us to service the community to the last possible moment before the storm is supposed to hit and will still allow for all of our MCSW team members to make it home safely. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this presents and we will be updating you as we have more information regarding our hours of operations and any further changes as soon as we have them.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MORGAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT‼️

Friday 1-23-26 in preparation for inclement weather we will be extending our hours of operation one hour to allow for last minute submissions of trash and debris. Our convenience centers across Morgan County will now be open until 6pm on that day and returning to normal operation once we’re past this weather.
