Welcome to our team, Katelyn!

My name is Katelyn Newton, and I am excited to be working in both Westmoreland and Richmond counties as a VCE Intern! I am from Stafford County, VA, where I spent my youth in the 4-H Livestock Program. From my start in 4-H until I aged out, I established lasting relationships, exhibited multiple livestock species, and competed on the livestock judging team. Spending my youth in agriculture taught me so much about the industry, leadership, and advocacy. These experiences fueled my passion for agriculture and those who dedicate their lives to it. I have since earned an Associate of Science in Agriculture from Butler Community College, and I am continuing my education at Kansas State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Animal Science along with a Certificate of Animal Nutrition. Recently, I have served as a 4-H volunteer, am an active member of Collegiate Cattlewomen, and coach youth exhibitors. I am looking forward to learning more about the NNK and all of the outreach VCE does for the community!
