What a BUSY week we had at RVJH!!!! The week started with our advanced math kids taking a trip to participate in the Challenfer Mission. The kids experienced a simulated space mission, enjoyed lunch in the university dining hall, toured campus, and completed the day by designing a paper rocket and competed in a Paper Rocket Challenge.

On Thursday, 48 students spent the afternoon eating pizza and hanging out at Warsaw Park. This was a social trip to recognize the 50 students who had lost the least of bear bucks all year. We are super proud of these students and hope they enjoyed their afternoon off.

On Friday, Mr. Wagner and Mrs. Anglin took their handbell classes out and about the community.

It was a great week. We are looking forward to the last 2 days of school! Monday we will have the annual auction (using real money!!) and Tuesday we will have an awards assembly and enjoy lunch provided by Frontier Power.

On Friday, April 28, Mrs. Webster class (along with Mr. Zornes and Mrs. Wine) took to the town for a mini career day. They students started their day at Rural King. They were given a tour by Administrative Coordinator, Mrs. Tonya Zornes. The students were given the opportunity to learn about different positions (loader, cashier, sales floor, Human Resources and management) and ask questions. After the tour, students enjoyed some free popcorn, a Rural King hat, and some ink pens! The students were them taken to Dominos Pizza. A tour was given my Mollee, Hallee, Pat and Emily Anderson. They students learned about drivers, crew, and management. Students were them given the opportunity to learn hands on by making their own pizzas.

Overall, it was a wonderful and exciting day. Not only did the students have a lot of fun, they learned about job opportunities within our community.
