Last week, The Warsaw Education Foundation had the privilege of congratulating the winner of the most nominations for an Honor an Educator Award! Tami Williamson, a second grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary, received a total of 15 nominations this school year! As the winner, she also received a $1,000 check from The Warsaw Education Foundation!

Congratulations Tami on this achievement! We are thankful for the many ways you have positively impacted the academic journey of many WCS students! We are grateful for all that you do as a teacher and the ways you go above and beyond to serve your students!

Some of the students that nominated Tami, her current class, Executive Director of The Warsaw Education Foundation (Courtney Sale), a couple of members of The Warsaw Education Foundation Board (Jeri Purdy and Mallika Klingaman) and the Principal of Jefferson Elementary (Mr. Wall) were also able to join in the celebration of this achievement!

Sarah Tucker was nominated for an Honor and Educator award by a Washington Elementary student in January this year! The student also shared "Mrs. Tucker is an awesome teacher. I love that she does fun activities with our class, and I enjoy talking sports with her. She makes math and science exciting to me, and pushes me in those subjects. "

Madison Elementary student Khloe H. nominated Hannah Williams for an Honor an Educator award in February this year! Along with her nomination she shared "Mrs. Williams consistently shows kindness and patience, supporting her classroom in meeting each student’s needs. She takes the time to provide extra help when it is needed and interacts with her students in a way that keeps them engaged and motivated.
We are truly honored to have such a caring and dedicated teacher in our school. We are grateful for the impact she has had on our child and on the future of incoming students who are fortunate enough to have her as their teacher."

Warsaw High School students, Sophia R. and Aspen S. nominated Traci Hamilton for Honor an Educator awards! Along with the nomination, Aspen's message said "Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication as a teacher. Your forensics class is truly engaging—it’s the first class I’ve ever genuinely looked forward to attending. Thank you for making school fun again. "

Sophia shared "Thank you for making chemistry feel less intimidating and for always taking the time to help when I'm confused. The care for your students has made a big difference in my confidence and learning. I'm very grateful to have you as my chemistry teacher."

Edgewood Middle School student Serena K. and Lakeview Middle School student Rhett D. nominated two of the many amazing teachers at the middle schools for Honor an Educator awards!

At Edgewood, Serena nominated Jennifer Dannemiller. Along with the nomination, the message included said "Thank you Mrs. Dannemiller for all that you do for your students. You always encourage your students to grow, learn and ask questions. You also make leaning interesting and fun!"

At Lakeview, Rhett nominated Caleb Morrison. The message included with the nomination said "Thank you for being a chill teacher. Science is fun! "

Leesburg Elementary student Gracelyn S. nominated Ashley Myers in the month of November for an Honor and Educator award! The message included said "I would like to honor Mrs. Myers for numerous reasons. Starting with having my daughter for two different grades and always encouraging and uplifting her. Mrs. Myers has went above and beyond to help work with my daughter’s tutor and always has a smile on her face as she does it. She has laughed cried and listened to me numerous times as we come up with a plan that will work for my daughter. She makes school priority but fun and my daughter loves to go to school to be with Mrs. Myers. She is a difference maker and who she is as a person should never go unnoticed she’s amazing!!"

Jefferson Elementary 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Snyder, received Honor an Educator Award nominations in January and February!

In January, Priya K. nominated Mrs. Lewis for her award. Along with her nomination she included this message~"Mrs. Lewis, thank you for making your classroom an inviting and fun place to be challenged and grow academically. Thank you for all that you do for your students!"

In February, Natalie B. nominated Mrs. Snyder for her award. Her message said " What a blessing you are to Natalie and your fifth grade students. She has thrived in your classroom and we appreciate you! "
