Last night, September 1st, our women at NNRJ enjoyed an energetic Mixxed Fit Fitness Class led by volunteer Ms. Wiggins, who also teaches at the YMCA! 🏃‍♀️🎶
We’re proud of the women who showed up, moved their bodies, and made their wellness a priority. 💜
A special THANK YOU to Ms. Wiggins for sharing her time, energy, and passion with Inmates in our care! Your dedication makes a difference. 🙌

We are grateful for our partnership with Rappahannock Community College (RCC) and the dedicated volunteers who give their Saturdays to bring meaningful educational opportunities to inmates at Northern Neck Regional Jail.
Through RCC and AHLEI (American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute), inmates have completed courses in Customer Service, Maintenance, Hotel Front Desk, with more opportunities coming soon. Participants attend class, complete homework, take a final exam, and those who pass earn certificates from both RCC and AHLEI, along with a professional resume.
Pictured are Ms. Lampkin, Mr. McClung, Ms. Grantham, and Programs Technician Ms. Melton, alongside the volunteers who make these opportunities possible.
We also want to recognize Mr. McClung, who is training to teach our upcoming InsideOut Dad program, a nationally accredited, evidence-based parenting program through the Fatherhood Foundation.
We are thankful for RCC, our volunteers, and community partners who invest their time and talents to provide education, growth, and opportunities for a better future. ❤️

We kicked off our NNRJ Draft Referral Incentive in style! 🎉

Our team came ready to learn, save lives, and show off their favorite team attire during CPR training! 👏🫀 From jerseys to team gear, the team spirit was definitely on display!

But behind the fun is something incredibly important — being prepared. CPR and First Aid training equips our staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond when seconds matter. In our line of work, being ready to act can make all the difference. 💪❤️

At NNRJ, we believe in equipping our staff for success — through quality training, teamwork, and opportunities to grow. We want our employees to feel prepared not only to do their jobs, but to make a difference when it matters most.

🎉 What a night to remember! 🎉

National Night Out was once again a HUGE success, and we had an absolute blast being part of such an amazing community event! 🍧🌭🍋

From snow cones and pineapple ice cream to hot dogs, lemonade, and more giveaways than you could imagine, the smiles, laughter, and excitement filled the evening! Seeing families come together, meeting new faces, and spending time with the youth in our community was truly the highlight of the night. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office for hosting such an incredible event and bringing everyone together for an evening focused on fun, safety, and community connection.

We love getting out, meeting our neighbors, and being part of the communities we proudly serve. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made the night so memorable — we can’t wait to do it again! 🎉🙌

Our Women's Empowerment class recently created this bulletin board, "What Fills Your Plate?" Each participant decorated a plate with the people, goals, hobbies, and hopes that help refill them during life's difficult moments.
Growth begins with self-awareness. Recognizing what empties your plate—stress, unhealthy choices, or negative influences—is just as important as identifying what fills it with purpose, peace, and strength. Small reminders of what matters most can inspire meaningful change, one step at a time. 💙

We're excited to be partnering with Community College for Student Orientation this week and next! 🎉

It's been a fantastic opportunity to meet so many motivated students as they begin an exciting new chapter and prepare for bright futures. We're proud to share what makes Northern Neck Regional Jail a rewarding place to build a meaningful career while making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

A huge thank you to the Warsaw and King George campuses for the warm welcome and hospitality! We can't wait to continue the excitement next week as we visit the Glenns and Kilmarnock campuses to meet another incredible group of future leaders.
