Warrington Township Emergency Management assisted with the Central Bucks School District CB South High School 2026 Commencement.
Representatives from the school district, Warrington Township Police Department, Warrington Community Ambulance Corps, Warrington Fire Co. #1, and WTDES worked together to help provide a safe and secure graduation for students, staff, families, and visitors.
The extreme heat created several challenges for public safety crews. On-site medical personnel remained busy throughout the event, assessing approximately 19 people and transporting 5 patients to local hospitals, not including anyone who may have gone by private vehicle.
We would like to thank all of our assisting agencies, including Bucks County Emergency Management , and the dispatchers with Bucks County 911.

Most importantly, congratulations to the graduates and their families on this exciting milestone. We wish you the best of luck in your next chapter!

Over the past three weeks, WTDES personnel have attended several training programs to build on existing skills and learn new ones. Training remains a critical part of ensuring our staff is prepared to handle the wide variety of incidents and events we encounter.

MGT-404: Sports and Special Events Incident Management
Focused on planning and managing events ranging from local community gatherings, such as Warrington Day, to large-scale events like the FIFA World Cup.

O-305: Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team
Reviewed how Incident Management Teams handle large-scale incidents such as tornadoes, widespread flooding, and other regional emergencies.

NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator Training
Bucks County’s Fire Investigator course provides the foundation for personnel interested in fire investigations and helps ensure WTDES maintains qualified investigators.

VFIS Driving Instructor Course
One of our Engineers completed this course and is now qualified to instruct personnel on best practices for operating fire apparatus, ambulances, support vehicles, UTVs, and towing operations.

PER-213: Wide Area Search
Covered the management and ex*****on of searches across large geographic areas, including both command-level considerations and field operations.

We appreciate the dedication of our personnel who continue to invest time in training to better serve the Warrington community.

Chief Mike Bean is the Volunteer Fire Chief of our very own Warrington Fire Co. #1. Chief Bean is retiring from Newtown Fire Rescue after 28 years! Congratulation Chief, well deserved!

Rescue and Battalion 78 responded to this scene and were recalled just prior to arrival. Great job by first in companies containing the fire quickly!

Just after 1:30pm yesterday WTDES, Warrington Township Police Department, and Horsham Fire Company EMS was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle accident with fire. Arriving responders found a vehicle accident in the parking lot area with no fire. Responders assisted on scene for a short time before returning available.

At 13:16 today Marine Box 29-18 transmitted with reports of a subject in the water at the RT611 bridge over the Little Neshaminy Creek. Arriving units found one subject in the water. Staff on R78 completed a “go rescue” to get the subject back to the water bank edge. Additional units arrived and developed a rope system to bring the subject and rescuers back up the hill. Unfortunately the subject had succumbed to their injures, our thoughts are with the family and loved ones at this time.

Please join us this Saturday, May 23, at 11:00 AM for Warrington Township’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Igoe Porter Wellings Memorial Field, 3095 Bradley Road.

Hosted each year by the Warrington Veterans Affairs Committee, this meaningful ceremony brings our community together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
