We welcome you and your comments!

The purpose of the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office social media accounts is to present matters of public interest. We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, and concerns, but please note these are moderated online discussion sites. We recognize social media is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage our staff resources (your tax dolla

rs), we generally only monitor comments and postings during regular business hours. Once comments posted, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to remove submissions that contain:
1. Vulgar language
2. Personal attacks of any kind
3. Comments or content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, genetics, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or intellectual disability or sexual orientation
4. Spam comments or links to other sites
5. Clearly off topic
6. Advocate illegal activity
7. Promote particular services, products, or political organizations
8. Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
9. Personally identifiable medical information
10. Information that may compromise the safety, security or proceedings of public systems or any criminal or civil investigations. Banning people: If there are repeated violations of the comments policy above, then Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to ban participation on platforms that permit organizations to ban users. Platform rules: Please note that social media platforms have their own rules of conduct, so social media platforms may take their own action to remove comments or ban users, not the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office. The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office is not responsible for those actions. Congratulations to Deputy A. Symanski, who has successfully completed the basic law enforcement academy training course. She began her career with the FCSO in the Adult Detention Center and now enters 12 weeks of training with a Field Training Officer in the Patrol Division.
