PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Warrenton Fire Department is hosting fire departments from across the state this week! Firefighters from all over Oregon are taking part in a 40-hour fire investigation class with hands-on training focused on fire investigation, cause, and origin.
This training is being led by the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Clatsop County Fire Investigation Team (FIT Team), giving firefighters and investigators the tools and knowledge needed to investigate fires throughout Oregon.
Please be aware:
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the Warrenton Fire Department, OSFM, and Clatsop County FIT Team will be conducting training at our demonstration investigation burn house located at 1225 S. Main Ave from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling near South Main Ave during this time.
Nearby residents should not be affected.
The fires will be small, controlled burns inside the structure and will be extinguished quickly so students can practice their newly acquired skills.
Thank you for your continued support of your local fire departments!
Brian C. Alsbury, Fire Chief
Warrenton Fire Department
