Congratulations to the newest member of the Warrensville Heights Fire Department, Firefighter Michael Reass, who was officially sworn in by Mayor Sellers and appointed by City Council. We also congratulate David Rancourt on his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant in the Warrensville Heights Fire Department.

Both are pictured with their families and friends, along with Mayor Sellers, Fire Chief Petti, and Captain Jones. We wish Michael and David continued success as they serve the residents of Warrensville Heights.

In accordance with Resolution 2023-017, the City of Warrensville Heights proudly observes Juneteenth each year through a series of commemorative activities recognizing the significance of freedom, history, and community awareness. Beginning June 1, Juneteenth flags are displayed in front of the Civic and Senior Center, Fire Station #1 (Old City Hall), and the Warrensville Heights Municipal Center. In addition, educational Juneteenth facts are made available to residents and visitors at the Civic and Senior Center, the Municipal Center, and on the City website to help promote understanding of the historical importance of Juneteenth and its lasting impact on our nation.
