Jude (as named while in our care) was found on SE 180 Rd., Holden, Missouri. No Collar / Not Microchipped

Rudy (as named while in our care) was a law enforcement intake (active criminal investigation) found on SW 101 Rd., Warrensburg, Missouri. Collar [Must describe] / Not microchipped

If these animals belong to you or if you recognize them, please contact us at 660-747-2127. You must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid photo ID, and proof of ownership to reclaim. Reclaim fees will apply. 🐾

REMEMBER: If animals are not claimed during the stray hold (minimum of seven days), they become ODAS property and will become available for adoption after receiving all vaccinations, being spayed/neutered and microchipped. You can submit an adoption application in anticipation of their potential availability for adoption (refer to the name we've given them on the adoption app). An adoption application can be submitted via our website for processing but does not obligate you to follow through with the adoption.

📣Shout out to the Johnson County Boy Scout Troops! ⚜ They made dog toys out of old T-shirts (filled that WHOLE BOX) and donated them to Old Drum Animal Shelter! ❣ That took a lot of time and was a very generous thing to do. 🐾 Thanks to all who participated! You're greatly appreciated! 🎉

Angel-Intake Date: 7/21/26

Angel is a stunning 2-year-old (as of 7/22/26) white and grey Husky who is full of joy and energy! 💪 I'm a playful girl who loves toys and treats, and lived in a home with dogs prior to being surrendered to the shelter. She doesn't much care for cats and will need a home where someone will be consistent in training and has patience with me. Come meet me and let's start an adventure together! ✨

Come and join us at Whiteman AFB today for the “Bark on Base Event” just inside the Spirit Gate behind the Mission’s Inn building. We’re here until 7:30 p.m.! Demonstrations by the Johnson County Sheriff Department K9 Unit, Border Collie obstacle, Duck Herding demonstration, dog friendly competitions with prizes, and pet and human menu available!!

**PLEASE READ**
**WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION DURING THESE EFFORTS**

These two German Shepherds are near the intersection of SE 130 and SE 125 Rd. in the South Heights subdivision.

We put law enforcement (at their request) in contact with professional trappers to capture these two German Shepherds so law enforcement can do an intake to the shelter in their designated kennels. [We are at 100% capacity except for the designated law enforcement kennels--reserved for intakes only from law enforcement. We can take in other strays IF SOMEONE IS WILLING TO FOSTER THEM until a kennel becomes open.]

PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH, TRY TO CATCH OR FEED these two dogs. To facilitate the capture and to gain the dogs' trust, the trappers require they be fed designated portions of food and water in a designated area (which they've arranged to happen with a volunteer) and that no one try to interact with them for the next few days--until the capture takes place.

These two German Shepherds do not appear to be aggressive at all--just confused and waiting for their owner to return (which we all know isn't going to happen). We also have information as to who may have dumped these dogs. If you have any information about the individual who dumped them, please contact the Johnson County Sheriff's Department at 660-747-2265.
