Hello everyone,

Sorry about not updating this group page.

Any Marine or FMF Corpsman wanting to join the Detachment can come to a meeting. The Detachment meets every second Saturday of the month at 0800 at the American legion Hall in Warrensburg MO.

The Young Marines unit is in Blue Springs. Sorry, we do not have one in Warrensburg. They Drill the third Sunday of every month from 0800-1600.

To celebrate Veteran's Appreciation Week the unit will be going to the Veteran's Home in Warrensburg on the 14th of November.

Going to be doing some work for the KC Airshow for the Navies Blue Angels on the 22 and 23rd. Both days 9 to 5.

Fund raiser at Walmart went well. Got rained on a little bit. Had a father of two Army sons come by and tell me his sons where better then me cause they weighed a hundred pounds more. Other then that, everything was okay.

Fund raising activity at the Blue Springs Walmart this Saturday, August 1st from 12:00 to 14:00. I hope to see all Young Marines there. Remember, these fund raisers pay for your activities like the training we just did at Camp Clark in May.

The Unit is doing the Color Guard for the St. Patrick's Day Snake Parade in Kansas City again this year. It will be this Saturday morning.

The Independence Young Marines are having drill the 3rd Sunday of every month from 08:00 to 16:00. The mornings will be classroom and church service, while after chow in the afternoon will be close order drill and PT.
