๐Ÿ’™ Student voices matter!

Warren Consolidated Schools students joined peers from across Macomb County for the 2026 Macomb Student Voice Summit at the Macomb Intermediate School District!

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œThe Pursuit of Happiness,โ€ encouraged students to share their perspectives, engage in meaningful conversations, and explore how they can help create welcoming, inclusive school communities.

Throughout the day, students heard from keynote speaker Rodney Page, participated in breakout sessions and worked together to develop action plans for strengthening student voices in their schools.

A special shoutout to Warren Mott High School senior Santiago Camargo Rodriguez, who served as a student panelist and shared about his familyโ€™s journey to the United States three years ago!

Weโ€™re proud of our students for using their voices, learning from others and taking an active role in making their schools even better! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ“š Parent-teacher conferences are this week!

This year, WCS families will have a new way to learn about their childโ€™s reading progress! Our new reading scores provide valuable insight into studentsโ€™ reading skills, helping teachers and families better understand their strengths and areas for growth.

Take a sneak peek at how our teachers will walk families through these scores during conferences this week!

We look forward to connecting with our families and working together to support student success! ๐Ÿ’™

Our B**r Middle School students had a great time at 5 Star Lanes as part of the schoolโ€™s Peer to Peer program. Experiences like these give students opportunities to build friendships, connect with one another, and enjoy meaningful experiences in an inclusive environment.

As a Unified Champion School through Special Olympics of Michigan, B**r Middle School is proud to create opportunities where all students can participate, belong, and build connections.

The program is lead by Speech Language Pathologist Stephanie Bommarito and Social Worker Melissa Wheeler. Assistant Principal Mr. Williamson brought his bowling shoes and ball and joined the fun!

Earlier this week, Leadership Macomb's Education & Workforce Development event held sessions at the Career Prep Center, bringing together community leaders from across Macomb County for a day of learning, collaboration, and networking.

The event featured presentations and hands-on activities focused on education and workforce development, including a welcome from Superintendent Dr. John Bernia, who highlighted the incredible work happening throughout our district.

Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Career Prep Center, led by our students, who showcased the many career and technical education programs available to Warren Consolidated students. From skilled trades to technology and culinary arts, our students proudly demonstrated how these programs are preparing them for future success.

Thank you to Leadership Macomb and all who participated in this meaningful day dedicated to connecting education and workforce opportunities in our community. ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“š

What happens after the last student gets off the bus? ๐ŸšŒ

For National School Bus Safety Week, weโ€™re taking you behind the scenes with Mr. Rich, one of our dedicated WCS bus drivers, as he walks us through the important safety steps he takes after completing his route.

From the first pickup to the final bus check, our drivers work hard to keep students safe every step of the way.
