Over the past two days, severe storms have kept the Warren Fire Department extremely busy, responding to approximately 250 emergency calls throughout the city.

During this time, our firefighters and paramedics responded to multiple serious motor vehicle accidents and a residential structure fire that occurred yesterday, along with numerous other weather-related emergencies.

Despite the challenging conditions and increased call volume, our members remained committed to providing the same level of professional service our community depends on.

No matter the weather or the emergency, the Warren Fire Department is always ready to serve and protect the residents and visitors of Warren.

This morning, Warren Firefighters were dispatched to the 32000 block of Bunert for reports of a residential structure fire caused by downed power lines. First-arriving crews reported a fire in the basement of the residence. Hose lines were stretched into the basement, where firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿš’ The Warren Firefighters were proud to take the court in a charity basketball game alongside the First Responders Tour, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between first responders and the communities we serve.

Before the game, we welcomed the kids to Fire Station 3 for a behind-the-scenes tour, giving them the opportunity to explore the station, learn about the different aspects of our job, and see firsthand what we do every day to keep our community safe.

Once the action moved to the court, the game was fast-paced, competitive, and full of great energy. After an exciting overtime battle, your Warren Firefighters came away with a victory! More importantly, the game showcased outstanding sportsmanship and camaraderie from everyone involved.

A special thank you to the First Responders Tour, all of the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support this incredible event. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with our community and are already looking forward to next year's game!

We are grateful for Representative Mike McFall's support of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union and the men and women who answer the call every day. Thank you for recognizing the importance of investing in public safety and supporting those who serve.

Honored to have the endorsement and support of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters!

Standing up for our community means delivering real results for the people who keep us safe. Thatโ€™s why I secured $2.6 million in last year's budget for a new fire truck for the Hazel Park Fire Department and introduced bipartisan legislation to ensure our firefighters, and all first responders get the mental health and PTSD support they deserve.

Iโ€™m committed to fighting for our frontline heroes and working families every single day in Lansing.

Help me keep fighting for you! Please consider donating today at votemcfall.com.

Yesterdayโ€™s severe storms kept Warren Firefighters busy, responding to 175 calls for service across our city.

We want everyone to enjoy their holiday celebrations, but more importantly, we want everyone to do it safely.

Please be responsible using fireworks and do not operate any flammables or explosives while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Watch your children around fireworks as well. The risk of injuries due to fireworks for children under 15 is twice as high than the general population.

It's always safest to watch a professional show.
