Something new and exciting going on at Paws! We have seen too many families wanting to surrender their pets only because they are having trouble with food. We can help keep your pet in the home! We will kick this off today from 12:30-2:00 for City of Warren Residents! This is just a trial run and we will announce dates and times for other areas. Please read the requirements on the flyer to qualify.

Sunday, Noon to 6pm! Chili, potato soup, barbecue ham sandwiches, cupcakes, breads, jewelry, hand-made items, ceramics, and what child wouldn't love a hoola hoop for Christmas! Stop Down! We can make your last-minute Christmas shopping easy! WE CAN WRAP ALL OF YOUR GIFTS, not just what you buy while at the Winery! We can wrap up your Christmas prep while you relax! We have paper, tags, and bows!

For the past 5 years the Relay For Life committee has watched our much loved and well attended Relay For Life event slowly disappear from the consciousness of Warren County. Despite the best efforts of the committee and our loyal sponsors' support we have been unable to rekindle interest in a Relay For Life event in our community.

We hoped post pandemic to see an uptick in volunteers for our event, however as has been the common experience for all non profits these days, recruiting new volunteers is extraordinarily difficult..

Given the current climate, Relay for Life will no longer be an event in Warren County. Our hearts are broken and our spirits trampled because of this.

We still believe in the mission of the American Cancer Society and smaller fundraisers may continue, we hope you will support them.

Finally, thank you beloved committee, thank you sponsors, and thank you Warren County for your past support.

Hope you are all having a great summer!

I hope everyone has had time to reflect on Relay 2022, and specifically where do we go from here.

We have reached the fork in the road as far as Relay is concerned. We need to decide whether we continue holding a tradional Relay event, hold some other type of fundraising event, or retire the troops and let individual teams that wish to remain intact fundraise on their own.

Lynne and I have served as event leads for 4 years. If the decision is made to continue, we believe it is time for new event leads. We will support anyone who wants to wear those shoes, and help them through the process. Perhaps fresh ideas and a new perspective would be the change needed to continue.

It comes down to this, do we continue, or is it time to walk away.

Tomorrow is the day! Pay us a visit at North Warren Community Park from 11 am to 11 pm. There will be raffles, a great variety of food prepared by our teams, games and activities, music, and smiling happy faces. Join us for our luminaria ceremony at sundown. You can purchase a luminaria at any time during the day at the event. Cancer survivors are welcome at our survivor celebration at 5 pm in the Community House across from the park.

This is YOUR Relay For Life Warren County. Help us make it count in the fight against cancer!
