Abruzzi's Hot Peppers LLC Abruzzi's Hot Peppers in Oil — There's Nothing Like 'Em! Peppers are shipped in case lots of 12 pint jars to all parts of the United States.

While many individuals were canning hot peppers in the Mahoning Valley, they weren't known to the general public until the early 1960's. That's when bartender extraordinaire, Joe Salerno, brought them to the attention of "Greenie" Abruzzi of Abruzzi's Cafe 422 restaurant in Warren, Ohio. Thereafter, the hot peppers became a specialty at "the 422" and soon at almost every other independent restaura

nt in the area. Abruzzi's Cafe 422 was sold in 2006 after being in the Abruzzi family since 1939, when it was founded by partners, Guerino "Greenie" Abruzzi and Orazio Rossi. To carry on the "pepper" tradition, Robert & Marilyn Abruzzi started Abruzzi's Hot Peppers LLC in 2009. Abruzzi's Hot Peppers announces a price decrease. Our cannery supplier has decreased its cost to us so we are decreasing the price to the stores. Although not all the price tags have been changed but the check-out price per jar has been reduced from $11.49 to $10.49 at the Corporate Giant Eagle stores. (the independent Giant Eagle stores are free to charge any price they want to!).

We will be contacting non-Giant Eagle stores to lower their prices. The decrease in price applies to the sweet peppers as well as the hot peppers.

Again this Saturday, March 26, 2022, we are doing a pepper tasting at the Knights of Columbus Hall on rt 20 in Geneva, Ohio. This Table Top Vendors event takes place every 2nd and 4th Saturday during March, April, and May, from 10 am until 1 pm. Come and enjoy the fun--tasting goodies and shopping for crafts, etc. Admission is free.

On March 12, 2022, Abruzzi's Hot Peppers LLC will be doing a tasting at the Geneva, Ohio, Knights of Columbus Hall on 6113 N. Ridge Rd. This Table Top Vendors Market will feature many vendors and will be an opportunity to taste our peppers--both hot and sweet. It will be informative and lots of fun. Hope to see you there!

Super Bowl parties will be much smaller this year, but you can still make a delicious snack using Abruzzi's Hot Peppers:

Put pieces of colby jack or pepper jack cheese on
Triscuits. Place in microwave to melt the cheese. Remove
from microwave. Place Abruzzi's Hot Peppers on top of
the melted cheese. If peppers were in a refrigerator,
return to microwave for a few seconds to take chill off
the peppers. Make a tray at a time and try to serve
immediately, while cheese is still warm. You'll love it!!
