Missed out on a ride to work yesterday because when I turned the key and pressed the starter, it would completely go dead.

I got home today and began running down the issue and discovered some pretty corroded battery connections. Took it all apart, cleaned it all up and she's ready to ride!

Hopefully I can roll to my appointments downtown tomorrow trouble free!!

This was a slower weekend than I'm accustomed to. Today I changed out the transmission output sensor that controls the speedometer and computer shifting on the today. The old one was pushing fluid into the electrical plug well and causing some issues. A short test drive to the grocery and back let's me say that the problem may have been resolved.

Plugged air filters contribute to a rich fuel mixture fouling spark plugs.
The price of an annual service might seem like too much, but on a quality machine that can cost $600 and up to replace (and the replacement will NOT be as good of quality), $80 to $125 a year soon pays for itself in the way of reliability and peace of mind.

Today, done before noon.... Michael brought home 2007 Chrysler 300 by to get new bulbs soldered into his climate control panel. No more fumbling around like an idiot for heater or A/C controls at night, then accessed, removed, unclogged and re-installed the A/C condensation drain tube on Lisa 's 2022 Forte GT as water was overflowing into the fan box and leaking onto the passenger floor carpet.
That's a wrap for today!

Remember a while ago I brought home Donna's oldie Ace Deluxe mower? Well, some scarce parts arrived and I rebuilt the carb this afternoon and look! It moves and cuts grass! Now, it still needs a bit of love, but this achievement now allows me to move forward with the rest!.
So far: Blade serviced, throttle cable removed, unfrozen, cleaned/serviced and reinstalled. The Carburetor was overhauled, and the blade and transmission controls were cleaned/serviced.

This small 20" no frills machine was a donation from a roadside trash day pick.
Some TLC and Carl Brown took it home as a tight spot mower to compliment his riding mower. Thanks Carl!

I got Mike's Recycler mower fixed up, bad ignition coil. Changed it's oil, spark plug, air filter and sharpened the blade. He got by for just a bit over $100 and got his grass cut before that city notice showed up!

So this morning's project was the parade boot for the convertible. The hook mechanism had separated from the plastic frame within the unit. After trying to replace the bronze nuts into the plastic by building up and melting them in, a test mounting caused them to fail again. So, I drilled thru the mount area and placed flat headed machine screws thru the frame, sunk in the bronze nuts and then used nylon locking nuts to secure the "finger" to the boot, cutting off the excess. Now Stronger than original and setting properly there are no more worries about it coming loose or off while traveling at higher speeds. Next is to give it a fresh coat of white to brighten it up.

So, since I started hearing a horrible grinding after a super hard brake incident when a guy in a wrecked up gold Buick Rendezvous claimed brake failure yesterday and almost creamed me (white guy, pretty scraggly, few teeth, maybe likes drinking lives somewhere in the 8 1/2 mile and Ryan area. Know him DM me) after work and coming from the veterinarian with Lisa in her car behind me.
Anyway, on the left caliper the material is all but lost on one pad, the other super thin, and the right side was at the point of replacement.
Knocked it out in the cool afternoon shade in the yard and just finished a burn in on the pads. All good again! How was your day? Everyone good? See you all later!โค๏ธ
