Warren Community Volunteer Council food and clothes give away The Community Volunteer Council distributes food and clothing to low-income residents of Trumbull and surrounding Counties.

Families or individuals who wish to have access to this food must sign up with the Council on site each visit. First, Second and Fourth Wednesday we giveaway Produce from Second Harvest Food Bank and Bread & Sweets from Giant Eagle. Every third Thursday of the month, families are provided with one bag of food which includes canned goods, breakfast items and paper items. Clothing and other items, s

uch as appliances and furniture, are donated to the council by members of the community. Every week, the CVC holds clothing drives open to all their clients. We also receive large appliances, such as a refrigerators or a stoves. All donated items are free to the public. Everything is first come first serve.

When Senator Mitch McConnell was admitted to a hospital Sunday morning, his second hospitalization this year, his office said he was receiving "excellent care." That care is backed by the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, the government-subsidized coverage that protects every member of Congress from out-of-pocket catastrophe. It is the same quality of coverage McConnell spent decades making harder for other Americans to access: leading Senate efforts to repeal the ACA, cutting Medicaid in the reconciliation bill, and, as recently as June 2025, privately telling fellow Republicans that constituents losing Medicaid will simply "get over it."
