The Papasian's Library for Equity & Inclusion Reading Brings Knowledge and Knowledge is Power! We want to provide knowledge and power with our community through the sharing of books.

This page was created so we can follow the journey of the shared books and to be able to share special offerings. This is our vision and we certainly have no expectation of anyone to contribute. That being said, some people have asked to help and for that we are very appreciative. If you are interested in donating you can have books shipped directly to the library or you may contact me. If you have any suggestions for books that you would like to see included, please let me know. We attempt to be diversified and inclusive of minority, under-represented, and under-served segments of the community but have fallen short in some areas so please don't hesitate to make some suggestions. We also acknowledge that we are not experts in any and every topic so if you have some insight or knowledge, bring it! Thank you all who have donated and liked the page. Your support has helped to make my dream become a reality.

Hometown Huddle in Hazel Park was a huge success. The girls couldn’t have been more excited or appreciative to receive period packets.

Special thanks to Rhonda Maki Hawe for the privacy pouches! The girls were especially excited about those.

A huge heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to the period poverty fundraiser. Every contribution helped us make a difference.

The girls were so grateful to receive the packages. We didn’t distribute all of the packages at this event but no worries, we’re still getting them to the girls that need them. The remaining products will be distributed at back to school giveaway events in Hazel park and Detroit.

Thank you again to all who helped by contributing or packaging the products. Special shoutout to Cassie Anderson Hunyor for all her help!

So honored to be a part of this great event. With the help of the mayors office and many great donors we are hoping to provide menstrual products to 250 girls and further Olives initiative to end period poverty.
