We're seriously running out of ideas for these graphics... 😵‍💫

⚠️ After further assessment of road conditions (particularly after dark and on side streets), along with the possibility of refreezing overnight, coupled with the slight potential for freezing drizzle after the morning commute is well underway, the decision has been made to cancel school on Thursday, January 29th. This cancellation includes all school-related activities.

🤗 We sincerely appreciate the patience, grace, and support our community has shown as we navigate these prolonged inclement weather days and the difficult decisions that come with them.

'We love that for you.' We're just not going to do that tomorrow. 🙃

🥶 Due to ongoing hazardous road and sidewalk conditions and dangerously low windchill temperatures in the morning, all Putnam City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. At the August 4th School Board Meeting, Dr. Fred Rhodes announced his retirement from the Putnam City Superintendency. He plans to retire after this coming 2025-2026 school year and complete his contract through July 1, 2026.
In his “Letter of Appreciation” to the School Board, he stated that he will be eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and the entire Putnam City Community.
The PC School Board, with assistance from the OSSBA, will begin their search for the next superintendent.

We don't normally post when it's school as usual, so we're going to blame this on cabin fever. 😅

2025 Bond!!!

The “Innovation Bond” is a $198.75 million package that would be spent over five years, if passed. The district says the bond would not impose a tax increase on folks in the area. It will extend the current tax from a previous school bond.
