J2:18 Through the love of Christ, J218 exists to reach women in exploitation and walk with them into safety, stability, and a new beginning.

We meet them in the gap–honoring their courage, helping remove barriers, and remaining present throughout their journey.

Happy Father’s Day

We know that Father’s Day can bring a variety of emotions and memories.

Today, we honor the fathers and father figures who have chosen to love well, lead well, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those around them.

We are grateful for the men who serve our community with humility, compassion, and faithfulness.

How many times have you thought, “I want to help somebody.” Or, “I need to get involved in something meaningful.”

Maybe you’ve felt a pull to make a difference, but you weren’t sure where to start, who to talk to, or what opportunities might even be available.

If that’s you, we’d love for you to take a look at our Get Involved page.

At J2:18, there are many different ways to serve. Some opportunities involve direct outreach and mentoring. Others happen behind the scenes through administration, fundraising, events, prayer, community education, and practical support. Every role matters, and every person brings something unique to the table.

We’ve also included our Volunteer Interest & Application Form for those who would like to learn more. Completing the form does not obligate you to volunteer. It’s simply a way for us to get to know you, learn about your interests, and help you explore where you might fit within the mission.

Take a look. You may find that the opportunity you’ve been looking for is closer than you think.

❤️ Walking alongside women. Honoring courage. Bringing hope.

Jail mentorship is a very meaningful volunteer opportunity that we offer.

These women aren’t signing up for a one-time visit. They’re signing up to build relationships with mentors who will encourage them, pray with them, write letters, and remind them they are not forgotten.

The women we serve have all experienced sexual exploitation and trauma, but their stories do not end there. Some have been incarcerated for months. Some for years. Yet week after week, we’re reminded that God is still changing lives, restoring hope, and drawing people to Himself.

We are looking for women who feel called to share the love of Christ through presence, prayer, encouragement, and relationship.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You simply need a willing heart and a commitment to show up.

📖 Introducing the first edition of the J2:18 Ministry Update: Going Beyond Outreach

J2:18 is inspired by Joshua 2:18, where the spies instructed Rahab to tie a scarlet cord in her window. The scarlet cord was a sign of protection and a readiness to be rescued. Today, it reminds us of hope, courage, and the possibility of a new beginning.

This month, we’re sharing three stories that helped shape our commitment to Going Beyond Outreach. Through each of these women, God has shown us that lasting change often requires more time, more relationship, and more support than can happen during outreach alone.

❤️ Princess R took a courageous step toward a new beginning and entered a safe home after years of prayer, encouragement, and relationship.

🙏 Princess T recently celebrated more than one month of sobriety. During a health challenge, volunteers were able to visit, pray, encourage, and walk alongside her as she considers longer-term recovery options.

🌱 Princess D made a lasting impression on our team during a single outreach encounter. After months of searching and praying for an opportunity to reconnect, we were able to meet with her through our jail mentorship ministry. She is now considering a different path forward and has asked for help as she prepares for life after release.

These stories remind us that outreach is often where the relationship begins—not where it ends.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, volunteered, prayed, and partnered with J2:18 during these first months. We are grateful for the opportunities God is providing and excited about what lies ahead.

Praise Report 💙

J2:18 has experienced our first rescue.

While this is the first rescue through our newly formed organization, it is built on years of faithful outreach and relationships our team cultivated through previous ministry efforts in the community.

For years, our team had the privilege of visiting with, encouraging, and praying alongside this sweet woman. Today, we are grateful to share that she is safe and on her way to a new beginning.

She was one of the inspirations behind our commitment to go beyond outreach—to slow down, build trust, share a meal, send a text message, and walk alongside women one relationship at a time.

Today, we celebrate God’s faithfulness, her incredible courage, and the power of simply remaining present.

We know this is only the beginning, and we look forward to the new assignments God has ahead for J2:18.

Thank you to everyone who prays, volunteers, gives, and believes that freedom is possible.
