This morning, Engineer Robert Alley (pictured in the center holding his helmet) completed his final shift and officially retired after 29 years of dedicated service to the Warner Robins Fire Department.

For nearly three decades, Engineer Alley answered the call, protected our community, supported his fellow firefighters, and helped shape the department we are today. His career represents far more than years of service; it reflects countless sacrifices, missed holidays, sleepless nights, difficult calls, lifelong friendships, and an unwavering commitment to others.

Engineer Alley’s experience, dedication, and faithful service have left a lasting impact on our department, our community, and the firefighters who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Please join us in congratulating Engineer Robert Alley on an outstanding career and a well-earned retirement. Thank you for nearly 30 years of honorable and dedicated service to the Warner Robins Fire Department and the citizens of Warner Robins.

The Warner Robins Fire Department is proud to support Operation Arresting Hunger as they work to place Autism Sensory Bags in the hands of local law enforcement and fire departments throughout Houston County.

These bags will give first responders valuable tools to help comfort, calm, and communicate with individuals with autism during emergencies and other stressful situations. Sometimes a sensory toy, headphones, or a simple communication tool can make a BIG difference.

But we need our community to come together to make this initiative a reality!

Roads surrounding Warner Robins High School, including Demon Valley Road and S. Davis Drive, are currently closed due to an active incident at the school.

The Warner Robins Police Department is assisting the Houston County School District and the Houston County Sheriff's Office-GA as the situation remains active.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes unless they are following the student pickup procedures and directions provided by the Houston County Board of Education.

For the safety of students, staff, first responders, and the public, motorists should follow the direction of law enforcement and school personnel and avoid the affected area whenever possible.

The City of Warner Robins will provide additional information as it becomes available.

An update will be issued once the affected roads have reopened.

Due to heavy rainfall, flooding has been reported in low-lying areas and roadways creating potentially hazardous conditions.

REMINDER: if there are flashing lights at an intersection due to a power outage, the intersection turns into a 4-way stop.

Our stormwater & public works team are in the field working to ensure the roads and storm water remain functional.

Please use caution when traveling and never drive through flooded roads or around barricades. Water may be deeper than it appears, and road conditions underneath may be unsafe.

⚠️ Stay alert for standing water and changing conditions

Our Warner Robins Fire Department Fire Prevention team recently attended the Arson Conference in Savannah, where they gained valuable knowledge, strengthened investigative skills, and learned the latest techniques to better serve our community.
By investing in continued education and professional development, our Fire Prevention personnel are better equipped to prevent fires, investigate their causes, and help keep the citizens of Warner Robins safe.
