Ms. Chandler’s 4th grade scientists continued their Ecosystems Science Unit by getting up close and personal with an important decomposer—a worm! 🔬

Students examined worms and determined what type of habitat they would need to create a healthy environment. They measured the worms, observed their heads and body structures, and predicted how worms create tunnels through the soil. It was a hands-on day of science, observation, and discovery! 💙

Ms. Brown’s 5th graders learned about the engineering and design process while being challenged to build a bridge in STEM. The constraints placed on the challenge were for the bridges to span 1-2 feet and hold up to 7 lbs. Prior to building, students conducted research on various bridge designs around the world. This challenge was met with excitement, zeal, and lots of collaboration!💙
