Public Works is proud to recognize Mark Bishop for his dedication and service to Houston County.
Mark began his career with Houston County in 2011 after transitioning from commercial construction, and he has since become an invaluable member of the team. One word that best describes Mark is dedication, as evidenced by his daily commute from Jones County.
According to Travis McLendon, Department Head for Roads & Bridges, Mark is an employee who “wears several hats.” He is a skilled crew supervisor with near rocket-science precision when it comes to building roads, laying pipes, and grading ditches, demonstrating both versatility and leadership in the field.
Travis adds with a touch of humor that Mark can be “a little stubborn” when encountering challenges, but he quickly emphasizes that Mark is one of his most trusted employees and adaptable crew leaders.
Mark consistently goes above and beyond in serving the citizens of Houston County, and his hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed. Public Works is fortunate to have him as part of the team.
