This is National Emergency Telecommunicators Week and we’re taking a moment to recognize the calm voices behind the chaos. The ones who answer every call, no matter the hour. 💛
Behind every siren, every response, and every emergency there’s a voice guiding it all. 📞
During Telecommunications Week, we celebrate the dispatchers who show up every single day with patience, resilience, and heart. They handle the unthinkable, stay calm under pressure, and make sure help gets where it’s needed quickly.
This week, let’s make sure they feel the appreciation they deserve. Drop a comment, send a message, or simply say “thank you.” It means more than you know.
To our 911 staff: your dedication, strength, and compassion do not go unnoticed. We appreciate you more than words can say.

**********SCAM ALERT**********
We have received reports of a scam circulating in our area involving phone calls about missing jury duty. The caller claims to be a deputy and says that you have failed to report for jury duty and that you must pay a fine immediately to avoid being arrested.

This is a SCAM. Law enforcement, court officials, and federal agencies will never call you to demand immediate payment for missed jury duty or threaten arrest over the phone. Scammers often "spoof" real phone numbers to look legitimate, asking for personal information or payments via gift cards, wire transfers, or apps.

How to Protect Yourself:
Hang up immediately: Do not engage with the caller.
Do not pay: Legitimate courts will never ask for fines over the phone.
Do not give personal info: Never provide Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, or birth dates.
Verify independently: Call your local courthouse or sheriff’s office directly using a trusted number if you are worried about jury duty.
