Uraahh to the generous folks of the area. The Detachment surpassed our previous record by collecting $2800.00 last Friday & Saturday at Wal-Mart! Thank you all for the support.

On 13 & 14 May the Det conducted a fundraising mission. I can report that the mission was successful, with a total of $2100 raised for the scholarship fund. Thanks to all who contributed!

It is with profound sadness, that I post the passing of Marine Thomas Clason. Tom was a life member and former Commandant of Det #140 Ware, Marine Corps League. Services will be held later in the year. Details of services will be posted later.

Cpl. Robert A. Hendriks, Sgt. Benjamin S. Hines and Staff Sgt. Christopher K.A. Slutman were all assigned to 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, and were in Afghanistan as a part of Operation Resolute Support.
