Council at their August Council meeting passed Resolution #2026-20 to go on the record opposing the Valley North Transmission Line. The resolution is very detailed in our concerns. County Commissions & municipalities around the state are taking a stand on this issue. The project lines are to transmit power to areas outside of WV. Utility customers will pay the price of these new lines with higher bills and no benefit.
We have asked the Town of Moorefield to consider passing a resolution. We will be asking the Hardy County Commission to do the same.
