The City of War will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. Offices will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, May 26th.

Please note: this closure may affect your normally scheduled trash pick-up service.

We had some very special visitors at City Hall today! 😊

Our local Head Start group stopped by, and we loved getting to spend time with these bright young minds. We talked with them about the different roles that keep our city running, gave them a tour of the office, and even showed off some of the equipment we use every day.

The kids kept us on our toes — future leaders in the making! 💙

Thank you for coming to visit us! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Bridge Work in Progress 🚧

A construction crew is currently working on the bridge near the mouth of the cove by Southside K-8. Today, crews are placing beams, which will cause longer wait times than usual in this area.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes if possible.

Thank you for your patience as these improvements are being made!
