On Sunday, October 25, 2026, at approximately 9:14 AM, Hillside Lake Fire Company, along with the Hopewell Hose Fire Company, the Wiccopee Fire Company, the Stormville Fire Company, and the Village of Fishkill FAST team, was dispatched to a reported structure fire within our immediate response area.
Assistant Chief Michael Stallone (39-5) arrived on scene within five minutes and upgraded the assignment to a Working Fire, requesting additional resources. A second alarm was subsequently dispatched, bringing mutual aid from the New Hackensack Fire District, LaGrange Fire District, Rombout Fire District, and Pawling Fire District, along with additional resources from the East Fishkill Fire District.
An aggressive fire attack was initiated by the first-arriving crews of Engine 39-13, Tanker 39-33, and Ladder 39-45.
Hillside Lake Fire Company would like to thank all responding agencies and personnel who assisted with fire suppression, provided additional resources, and remained on standby to ensure continued emergency coverage throughout the district.
We would also like to extend a special thank-you to the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response for its logistical support, coordination of additional resources, and continued communication throughout the incident.
This incident remains under investigation by the East Fishkill Fire District Fire Investigation Division.
