A huge thank you to the Yakama Nation for their incredible support! 🤝We were honored to have the Chief of Police accept a generous check for $40,000 through the Yakama Nation 2% Grant. This vital funding will directly support our department’s efforts to enhance public safety and better serve our community. We truly appreciate this ongoing partnership and the Tribe's commitment to building a safer environment for everyone.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Officer Alcazar and the Wapato Police Department for spending the day with us at the Wapato Middle School Career Expo!
Officer Alcazar was genuinely engaged from start to finish bringing energy, humor, patience, and professionalism to every interaction. He demonstrated various skills, answered what felt like hundreds of student questions, and made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Our students were excited, curious, and inspired, and that is thanks in large part to the time and effort Officer Alcazar invested today. We are incredibly grateful for his willingness to connect with our students and make learning about careers in law enforcement both meaningful and fun.
