Yesterday while working ATON in Hatteras our crew safely recovered not one but TWO cold stunned sea turtles. A Green Sea Turtle and a Kemps Ridley (which is an endangered species) to be exact. The turtles were safely transferred into the proper care after enjoying a nice ride in the TANB. Thank you to N.E.S.T. (Network for Endangered Sea Turtles) and NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island for all the help in getting our new friends the care they need. Tired of short, snowy and ice cold days?🥶 We are certainly looking forward to summer, how about you?

It's those long, sunny and warm days on the water with USCG ANT Wanchese we miss most! ☀️

In the meantime, don’t forget to wear proper cold water gear! Even when it appears to be a nice day, the water may be colder than you think, so remember to dress for the water temp. not the weather!
