🚨 Upcoming Change to Police Dispatch Services 🚨
Effective Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM, the Wanaque Police Department's Communications Center operations will transition to the Passaic County Sheriff's Office Communications Center.
Residents can be assured that this change will not impact emergency response times or the level of service you receive. Calls for police, fire, and EMS will continue to be dispatched promptly, and our officers will continue to respond without interruption.
If you come to Police Headquarters and need assistance, Police Assistance Call Boxes have been installed at the Police entrance and in the Police lobby. Simply press the button, and you will be connected directly with a communications officer who will assist you.
For non-emergency matters, you may continue to call the Wanaque Police Department's non-emergency phone number at (973) 835-5600. For all emergencies, continue to call 9-1-1.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this transition and remain committed to providing the highest level of service to our community.
