There’s no place like Wamego. What a beautiful night of music.

It was a challenge to have to move Symphony in the Park on short notice. But as usual, the community immediately rose to the occasion. A huge thanks to the amazing crew at USD 320 and Wamego High School who worked hard to get the stadium ready on short notice. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Thanks to the Wamego Community Foundation, the Edna Mae Peddicord Charitable Trust, Bank of the Flint Hills Legacy Club, the Kaw Valley State Bank and Trust Heritage Club, and the City of Wamego, Kansas Government for their sponsorship to make the event free to the community.

Thanks to our partners at Friendship House for moving locations at the last minute.

And a huge thank you to the MHK Symphony for a beautiful night of music that brought the community together in an incredibly inspiring way.

We work and serve in such a beautiful place. We love you Wamego.

The park is too wet, so we'll see you at the Wamego High School Football Stadium for tonights MHK Symphony performance!

Come grab a seat in the stands for a night of community and music. Concert is FREE to attend. Gates at 6, and the performance starts at 7p

VENUE CHANGE!!! - Symphony in the Park

The multiple rounds of rain haven't been super forgiving to the grass in Wamego City Park. With standing water in low areas, we don't want to create extra work for our City Crews who have been hard at work with storm clean up the past several days, and hosting it in our beautiful park just isn't possible.

So to make seating, parking and access easier due to all the rain, we will be moving Symphony in the Park to the Wamego High School Football Stadium. A huge thanks to Wamego High School - USD 320 for making this happen.

The MHK Symphony has an amazing set ready to go. And we are still beyond excited to host their performance.

-Admission is still FREE
-Food and Beverage from Friendship House will still be available
-Gates open at 6
-Symphony plays at 7

We'll see you Friday at the Football Stadium!

*NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY

What a beautiful addition to downtown! Today was the ribbon cutting for the new mural on the Wamego Public Library. Stunning! Thanks to everyone who helped make the project come to life, including all those who have joined us for “Porches on Poplar” which helps fund public art projects like this. There’s no place like Wamego!

We're beyond excited for Symphony in the Park this Friday! Come enjoy an incredible free show in Wamego City Park from the MHK Symphony. Grab those lawn chairs and blankets and we'll see you on Friday. Food/Beverage available starting at 5:30, Pre-Concert events at 6, and the Symphony performance starts at 7pm.

As announced at the Chamber Lunch last week, Congratulations are again in order for the Wamego Health Center & Wamego Family Clinic winning the 2026 Outstanding Rural Health Organization Award. Such an amazing piece of the community. If you haven't watched it, check out their acceptance video from the awards ceremony.
