The Walthourville Police Department has received several reports involving a person or persons entering vehicles throughout the city limits. We want to remind our residents to remain aware and take simple steps to help protect their property.

Although locking your vehicle doors may not prevent every situation, it is one of the easiest and most effective ways to discourage theft. Please make it a habit to lock your doors, remove valuables from plain view, and never leave important items such as wallets, purses, electronics, or fi****ms unsecured inside your vehicle.

We also ask our community members to stay alert and report any suspicious activity. Working together and looking out for one another helps keep Walthourville a safe place to live and visit.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
