🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY 🚧

South Street will be closed between Charles St and Vernon Street from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on June 11, 12, 14, and 15, 2026 due to construction work in the roadway.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes whenever possible.

This weekend! The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be at Our Lady's Academy collecting a variety of items for donation!

Have any clean/gently used clothing, shoes, books, linens, towels, etc? Drop them off at Our Lady's parking lot (880 Trapelo Road) on Saturday, June 13th from 10am-5pm or Sunday, June 14th from 8am-2pm. A volunteer will be there to assist. Please no toys, household items, or furniture).

LAST CHANCE TO NOMINATE!

The Waltham City Council is seeking nominations for the Kevin M. Ritcey Award for Outstanding Public Service. The City Council established this award in 2016 to honor Mr. Kevin Ritcey, one of Waltham’s most dedicated and respected community leaders.

The Award will be presented to an individual who has provided extraordinary public service to the Waltham City Council, City of Waltham or the Waltham community. The presentation will take place at a special meeting of the City Council.

β†’ To Nominate: Please provide a one page narrative that details the outstanding public service contributions of your nominee. Please include your name, phone number, and email address so that we may contact you.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POLICE CADETS

A Cadet is a person who is interested in a career in law enforcement and serving the community. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be 18-23 years old at the time of application. Must be a high school graduate and willing to attend college & take courses towards a law enforcement degree if she or he hasn’t already done so. Must be a licensed driver with a good driving record. Must successfully pass a Criminal Offenders Record Information (CORI) and a pre-employment physical with drug and alcohol screening. The age requirement for cadet is regulated by MGL Ch. 147, S21A.

Sending a big CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Waltham High graduates this weekend! Wishing you all the best in your next endeavors! πŸ‘πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“

WHS Graduation will be held this Sunday, June 7th at 12pm. Due to the anticipated weather, the Graduation has been moved indoors to Kennedy Middle School's Field House. Parking will be available at both 617 Lexington Street (former WHS) and 554 Lexington Street (new/current WHS). Shuttle buses will be offered to/from both locations beginning at 10:30am. Please expect delays in the area of Lexington Street on Sunday.

*To note: Once the Field House reaches full capacity (4,000 people), additional seating will be available in Kennedy Middle School's Auditorium, where a live stream of the Graduation will be available to attendees.
