Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that my networking group, "The Integrity Group", is having a social get together at a restaurant in Norwood, TOMORROW on Wednesday, June 3rd, starting at 5:30 PM. Food and adult refreshments will be provided.

I have been with the group, which has approximately 25 members, for over 10 years. In the past five years, it has consistently passed over $ 1.5 million dollars, and last year over $ 2 million dollars to each other.

The group has a very strong "home sphere": realtor, finance, stager, architect, house painter, junk removal, interior designer, moving company, home inspector, roofer, real estate attorney, disaster recovery company, and cleaning company.

Other positions already filled: Insurance company, financial planner, divorce attorney, personal injury attorney, estate planner.

As you know, Norwood Hospital was closed due to a flood in 2020 which has created a void in health care services. Now, almost six years later, reconstruction is in limbo due to the bankruptcy filing by Steward Health Care.

Earlier this year, Senator Mike Rush and Representative John Rogers filed legislation that, if enacted, would allow the State to take the property by eminent domain -- similar to what was done with St. Elizabeth's Hospital a couple of years ago. While we still hope that a private sale to a new operator will occur, this is a second path to getting the hospital reopened.

In support of this legislation, the Reopen Norwood Hospital Task Force is collecting signatures for a petition that will be sent to Governor Healey, legislative leaders, and the MA Department of Public Health. The petition requests support of the legislation filed by Senator Rush and Rep Rogers and asks that these leaders work with healthcare providers and local officials to restore emergency and inpatient care for our region. Signing the petition is a very simple process that takes less than a minute.
