Broadway Plaza kicked off the Holiday season with the Holiday of Lights Parade and Tree Lighting.
The grand event included bands, lighted floats and many participants. Santa lit the tree and made it snow in Walnut Creek.

The staff of Walnut Creek TV covered its 15th Veteran’s day ceremony. The first was at Lafayette Veterans Memorial Center in 2010, and the last 14 at the Lesher Center for the Arts. Thank you to the Walnut Creek Concert Band for the amazing music that makes the event so moving. We honor the men and women who served this great country.

The Waymark in Walnut Creek held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 15th, 2023 at 101 Pringle Avenue. The Waymark is a new mixed-use development featuring public art.

The Walnut Creek City Council, along with the Waymark design team were on hand to cut the ribbon on this great addition to Walnut Creek.

As our Downtown continues to welcome more visitors changes are coming to parking. Starting May, 18 the purple parking meters will start charging $1 per hour to encourage turnover. Parking revenue is reinvested in Downtown including landscaping, sidewalk cleaning, the Free Downtown Trolley, and community events.
