Summer Reading 2026 officially starts on June 1st for all ages. There's something for everyone this summer. So come on in and sign up.

If you have a student at Wallowa School District you will probably be hearing more about this week as classes have been visiting and learning more about signing up and winning prizes. Let's plant a seed and read more in Wallowa (and Lostine) this summer.

Kicking off on Friday is our 3rd Annual Book Tall Challenge.

Patrons of all ages are encouraged to join in the reading fun. Pick up your measuring tape tracker at the library anytime in May and let's see if we can read as many books as the library is tall.

What's the first book on your list that you'll add to your tracker. The thicker the spine, the better!
