Who's ready for summer?! ☀️

Let's kick off the 2026 Summer Reading Program together with a Foam Party!

Grab a towel, and join us at our Boyne Falls branch on June 11 at 11:00am where we'll get you registered for our 2026 Summer Reading Program with a perfectly prehistoric theme: Unearth a Story! We'll have a dino registration gift, fun with balloons, and some cotton candy! (All free for participants, and no cost to attend!)

And then? Piles and piles of...FOAM! 🫧

Mark your calendars and come play in the bubbles with us on Thursday, June 11th!

We look forward to seeing our friends from Boyne Falls Public School and Concord Academy Boyne as well as our homeschool familes in the Boyne Falls and Walloon Lake area!

Are you a stargazer looking for a night sky adventure? Join us on the grounds of our Boyne Falls branch on June 5th and 6th (with the possibility of June 7th as well, conditions permitting) from 9:00pm to 11:00pm to witness the Venus-Jupiter conjunction with local sky-watcher Dave Skop!

This will be the closest that Venus and Jupiter will appear together (to us Earthlings) until 2028!

A Summer Reading Program event for the grown ups! On Wednesday, June 3, come have a cup of coffee from The Coffee Chariot AT THE LIBRARY! This fabulous coffee-serving food truck will be on site at each of our branches to celebrate the beginning of the Adult Summer Reading program! We'll give you your Summer Reading bingo card and you can grab some coffee and cozy up with a book, either inside the library on one of our armchairs or...on one of our new Adirondack chairs, a nearly perfect place for a beach read!

The Coffee Chariot will be at Walloon Lake from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and then will make its way down to Boyne Falls from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.

There are still a few spaces left for our Open Jar Terrarium Bar program for adults and teens, ages 16+ at Walloon Lake this Saturday!

Join us as we plant small terrraiums with succulents and learn more about how to help them thrive! 🌿

This is a free event for adults and teens, ages 16+!

For the families that ordered trees through Neighborhood Forest, you may have seen that the Quaking Aspens did not do as well this year as everyone would have liked. So, Neighborhood Forest offered to replace them for us with Balsam Firs, and we are excited to announce that the new trees have arrived and they look happy and green!

Please stop by Walloon Lake this Saturday, May 16th, to pick up your replacement tree!

If you'd like to arrange for a pickup at Boyne Falls on Monday or Tuesday, please give us a call at (231) 535-2111 to make arrangements.
