William Warren, Waller ISD Board of Trustees Position 1

William Warren, Waller ISD Board of Trustees Position 1 I am reminded every day how honored I am to be able to serve the district and the tax payers that represent it.

This page is intended to highlight some of the amazing things happening in the district, and provide a messaging link for the community.

Had the opportunity tonight to throw out the first pitch at the Bulldogs baseball game… and I found myself thinking about how many special moments this role has given me.

From receiving the baton during the POW/MIA race, to coin tosses on Friday nights, and now this… these are things I never take lightly.

Serving this district has always been about the people first. Our students, our families, our community. But along the way, I’ve been incredibly blessed to be part of moments like these that I’ll never forget.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve, and proud to be part of Waller. And thank you to The Rac Baseball in Waller for being tonight’s sponsor!

Great night at the Waller Junior High Champion’s Spotlight.

Always impressive to see our students in action, especially getting to watch them work through their STEAM and GT projects. One of the highlights was the popsicle stick bridge competition… testing to see which design could hold the most weight.

Hard to believe, but the winning bridge held 120 pounds.

Proud of these students and teachers and the effort they put into what they’re learning every day.

I had an absolute blast playing in the Waller Junior High Students vs. Staff basketball game last Friday. I was truly honored to be invited. What made it even more special is that this is the same court where I learned to play basketball as a kid… let’s just say a few years ago. I love this district. I love representing it. I love our people and our students. Opportunities like this are what make serving so meaningful.

It was a tough battle, and even with a little “scoreboard assistance” for the scorer's table… the staff pulled out the win!

Thank you again to Waller Junior High for letting me be part of it. Definitely a highlight of the semester.

POLL Below: When you stop at Buc-ee’s, what’s the one thing you cannot pass up?

I’m hoping everyone is staying inside, hanging out in front of a fire. I’m sure there’s a little extra scrolling on social media happening while bundled up on the couch, so let’s have some fun.

🌭 Kolaches
🍫 Fudge
🥩 Jerky
🦫 Beaver Nuggets

Drop your pick in the comments and feel free to explain your reasoning. I know some of y’all have strong opinions on this one.

What I saw this week at the Waller ISD CARE / Houston Food Bank School Market was service at its best.

Our students, teachers, and staff came together in tough weather to serve 422 families and more than 1,300 individuals in just three hours, an 11 percent increase over last January. As our community continues to grow, so does the need. It is not always an easy thing to talk about, but it is very real.

I am incredibly thankful for the educators and staff who champion this program, the students who volunteered with such care and work ethic, and everyone who stood in the cold and wind to help others. It was truly heartwarming to witness.

After spending time with the team, I am excited about the big plans and vision they have for this program and look forward to supporting its continued growth in any way I can.
