UWMOC makes it easy for volunteers to give their time and talent – and for nonprofit agencies to connect with volunteers – through our Volunteer Center. UWMOC funds NJ 2-1-1, a statewide help line and website that connects you with local and government resources. It’s a free and easy way to find help for many needs like food, housing, healthcare, legal services, drug treatment, jobs assistance, childcare, mental health services, transportation, financial assistance and more. On September 11, 2026, the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, the organization 9/11 Day, a United Way Worldwide partner, collaborated with United Ways nationwide to mobilize 50,000 volunteers for large-scale meal-packing service projects in 50 cities. The initiative aimed to assemble 2 million prepared meal kits for families experiencing hunger.

UWMOC supported local volunteer recruitment efforts and participated as an ambassador at the New Jersey event held at MetLife Stadium! 💙
