On Monday we will offer two Storytimes, 9:00 and the regular 10:00! The Lake View Library has Iowa's youngest magician, Kayleigh Rodgers, there at 10am also so wanted to give families an opportunity to make it to both!!

What is the quote about "best laid plans"?? That's been summer reading this year!😂 I had pre-ordered about 20 of each stuffed animal back in May to hold them for us...finalized the order yesterday, and then got an e-mail saying the Flamingo and the Cow were on backorder until July 15th. ☹️ I thought about offering some of their other ones but it seemed all of the cute, similar ones were also on backorder. SO....I think we'll just postpone the Stuff-A-Bear Pajammin' Party until after that date. I really apologize for the change up!!! And I am going to wrack my brain thinking of something else super fun we can do on the 24th!! I will put the reschedule date options down below, let me know which one works best for you by giving it a like. I may even offer it multiple weeks to make sure everyone that ordered is able to attend! Thank you for your understanding!! And for those wondering....the quote is "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry." Very fitting this year! 😆

We had such a fun morning making our fairy wand garden stakes and potting flowers!! I hope these all find a way to sparkle up your gardens!!✨️🌸

On Monday we read one of the funniest children's books, "Hedgehogs Don't Wear Underwear" and made a variety of hedgehogs afterwards! One of the cutest parts of this book were all the little French phrases scattered throughout! Join us for more summer library fun tomorrow morning at 10:00!

Well, we made it through our little hiccup this morning and these kiddos made some beautiful, unique, one of a kind bee and butterfly watering stations!! Bee 😉 sure to send me some pictures if you catch a bee or butterfly taking a drink from yours this summer!! 🐝🦋 You can spray your pot with an acrylic sealant to keep your art work safe from the rain!

💢💢UPDATE:CANCELLED!!💢💢I'm so sorry!! I called to confirm with them and tell them where to enter the building and they told me their building had burned down so they don't have all their animals in one location at the moment...and we got inadvertently missed on their notifications to cancel the program. I'm trying to think of something fun we can do instead but if your kiddo is coming set on reptiles, they'll be disappointed!! I have a couple fun ideas in mind so please still join us!! Again, I'm very sorry!!

Spock's Sanctuary out of Des Moines will be at the library tomorrow at 1:00! Come join us and see which of their reptiles will visit us!!
