This week for Storytime we read a Storytime OG-- "Ten Apples Up On Top". We tried to see how many apples we could stack on our heads or even just on a flat table and dotted our trees with some pretty red, yellow, and green apples. 🍎🍏

We are so thankful to the First Christian Church in Sac City for bringing Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to our area! She was an icon and her bubbly spirit will be so missed. In Dolly's words, “Every book is a treasure and every time you open one up, you will meet new friends and take wonderful journeys to magical places.” Rest in Peace, Dolly.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 292 children in Sac County Iowa find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

While our hearts are incredibly sad today, we’re more inspired than ever to continue this important mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.

These are on the circle table and are so fun!! You write all the books you've ready throughout the year on the spines of the books on the paper. I had a bookmark sized one a couple years ago and it was so fun to look at at the end of the year!!

Dr.Geuss is going to miss the kiddos so much that he decided he's going back to school with them! He's wondering if the bus will do a pick up at the library. 😉😉
