This is Malia Yuson. During her time at Waldport High, she has participated in basketball as the manager, leadership, and broadcast. After graduation, she plans to move to Salem and start her AAOT Degree in Business. Her advice to underclassmen is to get involved! Your first years in high school are for finding out what you do and don’t like! Finding something fulfilling that connects you to your peers is so important for turning high school from just classes into something you actually enjoy and is meaningful to you. She’d like to give a shout out to her mom for being her biggest supporter and always pushing her to be her best, Mr. Reed for allowing her to be a frequent visitor in his classroom and always making sure she knew she had someone to count on, and her best friends Danna Ortiz and Olive Adkinson. She could not done it without them! Congratulations, Malia!

This is Madison Hurtt. During her time at Waldport High, she has participated in Leo’s Club, leadership, NHS, and Robotics club. After graduation, she plans to attend OSU and major in biochemistry and molecular biology. Her advice to underclassmen is to work hard and don’t give up. This is Danna Ortiz-Romero. During her time at Waldport High, she has participated in leadership and broadcast. After graduation, she plans to attend Phagan’s Beauty College to focus on hair design and become a licensed hairstylist. Her advice to underclassmen is to just be yourself. Don’t stress and make the most of it while you can. She’d like to give a shout out to her family for always supporting her and pushing her to do her best. This is Lena Wi******er. During her time at Waldport High, she has participated in cheer, golf, volleyball, leadership, art, Oregon Outdoors, CERT, AVID, forestry and Cosmetology Club. After graduation, she plans to attend OCCC for 6 months to become a registered EMT, while taking some nursing prerequisites. She then plans to attend OSU’s Wildland Fire School and work during her summers off as a Wildland Firefighter and gain experience in EMS before going to school to become an ER Nurse. Her advice to underclassmen is to make the most out of the things you don’t like. She’d like to give a shout out to her mom for always being there for her and supporting her. Congratulations, Lena!
