This week (4/20-4/25) the FMFD will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the district. The purpose for this is to flush out sediment from the lines and ensure the hydrants work correctly. This could affect water pressure for short periods.

Today we received a reply to our letter regarding the 23/71 connector from Representative McClain.

To all community members residing within the Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District coverage area,
The Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District is proposing a 2 Mill renewal levy on the upcoming ballot May 5, 2026, for voter consideration to replace the current levy set to expire. The Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District has effectively operated with the current levy passed in the Spring of 2020. This is not a new levy; this is a renewal for the existing levy to keep the fire department operating as is.
Purpose of the Renewal Levy:
• Providing and maintaining fire apparatus
• Purchasing and maintaining fire equipment and appliances
• Maintaining fire buildings and facilities
• Supporting water supply sources for fire protection
• Paying part-time and volunteer firefighters
This renewal helps ensure the Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District can continue providing reliable fire and emergency services to our community.
The Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District greatly appreciates the support from our community over the years and respectfully asks that you continue to show your support by voting YES on May 5, 2026.
Sincerely, YOUR Fort Morrow Consolidated Fire District
