Some exciting news from our partners at Flight For Life Transport System and ThedaStar.

We’re excited to share that Flight For Life and ThedaStar have officially come together as one unified air medical transport program—bringing together two trusted teams with one shared mission: delivering safe, high-quality, life-saving care when it matters most.

By combining our experience, expertise, and resources, this integration will:

*Expand access to air medical transport across the region
*Improve coordination and aircraft availability
*Reduce delays and response times
*Strengthen service for patients, EMS, hospitals, and communities

Together, our two programs bring decades of experience—serving tens of thousands of patients across Wisconsin—and are now even better positioned to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve.

Most importantly, there is no disruption to service. Both Flight For Life and ThedaStar will continue operating under their trusted names, and our partners in health care can use the same dispatch numbers you rely on today.

This is about growth, collaboration, and ensuring more patients receive the critical care they need—when and where they need it most.

At this time the road has been reopened. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please avoid the area of County Rd W between Highway 57 and Blueberry Lane. We are on scene of a motor vehicle accident. This stretch of road will remained closed for an extended period of time.

🚑 National EMS Week 2026 🚑

This week, we recognize the EMS providers and first responders who serve our community with dedication, professionalism, and compassion.

While Waldo Fire Department does not provide ambulance transport, we are proud to work alongside those who do. From routine calls to critical emergencies, these individuals are there when it matters most.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Orange Cross Ambulance, Inc., Plymouth Fire and Rescue, Cascade Fire Department and First Responders, Adell Fire Department and First Responders, Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Dept, and Oostburg Fire & First Responders for the vital role they play in keeping our community safe, as well as all other First Responders groups throughout the county.

Your commitment does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful to stand beside you when the call comes in.

Stop on out to Cascade Fire Department and First Responders today for there car show. Plenty of food and raffles as well.

Come on down to the Cascade Fire Hall TODAY‼️

There is plenty of Food and some AWESOME raffle baskets! 🤩 There will be a meat raffle going on all day! 🎟️ We also set up a few corn hole boards if you’re interested in a little fun!

Meet Malayna Schmidt, one of our newest members at the Waldo Fire Department.

“I joined because both my dad and brother are on the department. Growing up around it and seeing what they do made me want to be a part of it myself. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m proud to be able to help serve our community alongside them.”

No prior experience, just a willingness to learn and be part of the team.

🚒🔥 She’s Back and Better Than Ever 🔥🚒

Tender 2 is officially back home.

After refurbishment, this truck is looking sharp and ready to get back to work. Built to serve and now built even better.

Choosing to refurbish allowed us to extend the life of this apparatus while being smart with taxpayer dollars, making the most of what we have and keeping costs in check for our community.

Final graphics are still to come, and we’re proud to be working with a local company to finish it off right.
