So the results are in and the votes have been tallied. I am very sorry to say that I was not successful in my run for Town Justice.

First I want to thank each and every one of you that took the time to go out and vote for me. It was more than just a vote to me.

Second I want to thank each and every person that took the time to answer their door and spent a few minutes talking to me. I have met some incredible people on this journey.

Third I want to thank everyone that encouraged me and supported me and believed in me. There are so many of you that I can not name you all, but I truly hope if you know me and took the time to give me a hug or words of encouragement then I am talking to you. Sincerely, THANK YOU

Most importantly I would like to thank my children and my life long best friend. They have been here every day, supporting me and encouraging me, sacrificing their time with me and just dealing with me in general through this.

Obviously I would love to have won and been elected Judge. I truly believe that I would have been an excellent Judge. But that was just not meant to be . However, I can honestly say that I can walk away from this endeavor with my head held high. I know that I gave this 110%. I handled 95% of this campaign completely on my own. I personally knocked on over 4000 doors. Put out all 112 signs and showed up to as many events as I could. I handled my campaign and myself with honesty, grace, dignity and most of all INTEGRITY.

The palm cards have all been handed out. The signs have all been posted the robo calls and texts have gone out. The last door has been knocked on. I have done everything I can to run a fair and professional campaign. Now all I can do is leave it up to you the voters

Please make sure you come out and vote at some point tomorrow November 7 any time between 6:00 am and 9:00pm

It is very rare that I feel compelled to make a public endorsement in a judicial election, since often both candidates are more than qualified, but this year I make an exception.

I very strongly urge voters in the Town of Montgomery, including Walden, Montgomery and Maybrook, to put Catherine Lee on the town bench. Having gotten to know her, I can say she will make an excellent judge. She will bring her sharp eye, quickness of mind and knowledge of the law to a position where it has been in increasingly short supply of late. She will work well with our other current town judge, who has been willing to do so much more than asked of him without complaint to ensure that our courts run efficiently and on time. She will also respect the work of our town police. Lee will also work well with the other judges in the county, doing her share of the work they all must do in keeping our criminal justice system moving and guaranteeing due process for defendants and victims alike.

And when it comes time to go, she will leave office gracefully.

Once again, I urge Town of Montgomery voters to turn out and fill in the oval on Integrity First, Row F, this weekend during early voting at the Montgomery Senior Center or at their local polling place on Election Day.
